High school can be the turning point for many of our students. Helping students understand the connection between attendance and graduation is crucial. Many students are simply going through the motions not understanding that every day is an opportunity to add to their high school resume. Students who are focused on their GPA, ACT and SAT scores as well as their involvement can greatly improve their chances of getting accepted into the college of their choice. During this workshop we talk about the importance of building good relationships with you teachers and other staff members to help you stay in the know. We want students to feel empowered after that workshop and work to more well rounded students than they ever thought they could be. During the workshop we will cover the following topics:
Setting yourself up for success
Setting goals for what you look like on paper
Learning styles
Developing your study routine
Attitude check/Cooperation and Effort
Building great relationships (Your recommendation team)
Creating a study group
Staying organized
