All About College/Financing College

Getting accepted to college can be a huge accomplishment. Students who want to be as prepared as possible can greatly benefit from this workshop. The presentation gives students insight into what colleges are looking for on college applications, the different types of colleges, and the difference between tuition and the cost of attendance. Learning the about the FAFSA, Pell Grant, Direct Loans, merit scholarships, and athletic scholarships can help students piece together how they plan to pay for college. Students are encouraged to share the information with their parents, and given assignments to research different colleges. During this workshops students will also learn:
